"The kit...was so much more than I expected. You offer elegant engineering solutions, a simple and beautiful sukkah and a process that is easy to understand and complete. With thanks from a very satisfied customer who is now passing your URL around her shul."

"This morning we took the 16x24 Big Sukkah down... Everyone was amazed at how easy your kit and plans made things go. But more importantly, our congregants (and Rabbi) love it. It is roomy, and the wood and bamboo mat roof gave it a warm feeling that our old PVC pipe Sukkah sorely lacked".

Shalom, y'all!
The Sukkah Project™ is our family owned- and operated business offering affordable
sukkah kits for families, schools, and shuls.
It originated from a suggestion by Rabbi Steve Sager of Beth El
Synagogue in Durham NC that we design a simple pre-fab sukkah for members of the community who wanted a backyard sukkah but
lacked experience using tools or building things. The 8x10ft wood & fabric sukkah we came up with proved extremely popular with the locals, and
requests soon started coming in from other communities.
Recognizing
a widespread need, we developed a do-it-yourself version of our pre-fab sukkah--the Sukkah Project™--and introduced it at
the 1995 Biennial of the United Synagogues of Conservative Judaism. It was well received there, and we began selling kits
nationwide through mail order and eventually the Internet. What
started as a sideline project with one product has evolved—twelve years
later—into a full- time family business offering over 20 different Sukkah Kits and everything else needed for
home observance of the Festival. Since 1996, over 10,000 families--in all 50 States and most of the Provinces of Canada--have built their own sukkahs with our kits; for many, it has been their first sukkah ever.
The Sukkah Project™ is our labor of love. We value suggestions for improving our kits; let us know how your sukkah turns out, and please send photos for our website Sukkah Gallery.
